KORTX is excited to offer a career-defining opportunity for an ambitious Paid Search Strategist. This role is ideal for a driven individual with 5+ years of experience, looking to propel their career toward a leadership position while playing a pivotal role in evolving KORTX’s paid search capabilities. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial-spirited, highly detail-oriented, and have exceptional problem-solving skills.
This role is located in Berkley, MI, and is a hybrid role. The annual salary range is $70-100k based on skills and experience.
As a Paid Search Strategist at KORTX, your primary responsibility will be the strategic development and enhancement of our paid search efforts. This includes leading the creation and management of effective paid search campaigns across multiple platforms and continuously refining KORTX’s paid search offerings. A significant part of your role involves data analysis to optimize campaign performance and align strategies with our marketing objectives and client needs.
In addition to strategy and campaign management, you will contribute to KORTX’s paid search expertise in the market. Example opportunities include engaging in speaking engagements, writing insightful blog posts, contributing to whitepapers, and collaborating with the team to establish KORTX’s position as a thought leader in the digital advertising industry. Your role will also involve direct client interaction, offering expertise in paid search strategies, and guiding discussions on effective digital advertising tactics and trends.
What We're Looking For
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising experience
- 5+ years experience managing multi-channel paid media campaigns
- Google Ads Certified (including Analytics, Fundamentals, Search, Display, Video, Shopping, Mobile), Microsoft Advertising Certified
- Demonstrated experience in keyword research and competitor analysis tools
- Experience developing testing structures and compiling client-facing deliverables based on performance
- Minimum of 3-years hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns for a variety of clients.
- Minimum of 2 years of client-facing experience
- Knowledge of utilizing automated bidding platforms such as Search Ads 360, Kenshoo, Marin, or Adobe Advertising Cloud is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly analytical with strong research skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and fluent in Keynote
- Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Google Tag Manager
- Active interest in keeping up with the paid search industry and the latest trends

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of paid search strategies that align with client objectives and KORTX’s marketing goals. Create client proposals and collaborate with the sales team on the pitch, often in a client-facing role.
- Campaign Management: Plan, build, execute, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across various platforms.
- Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research and selection to improve campaign targeting and reach.
- Google Performance Max (PMax): Leverage your knowledge of Performance Max (PMax) to enhance campaign performance, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
- Bid Strategies: Develop and execute effective bidding strategies to maximize ROI and achieve client goals.
- Budget + Performance Monitoring: Monitor budgets and performance and make optimizations daily aligned with client goals.
- Communication: Communicate client performance regularly and ensure we fulfill client contracts and promised strategy.
- Strategic Planning: Actively participate in wider company initiatives including, but not limited to, new business pitches and internal marketing efforts.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, account management, and creative teams to ensure cohesive strategy and content alignment.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data-driven insights to refine campaign strategies and report on performance to stakeholders.
- Research and undergo test partnerships with new PPC vendors to expand outreach as well as lower cost-per-acquisition (CPA).
- Serve as company SME for paid search and provide training to internal team members.
